Long after Farah hangs up, the words keep echoing in Shane’s head. If he had thought his thoughts had been chaotic this morning, when his biggest problem had been his rival potentially fucking him when he came to Montreal in two weeks, that’s nothing compared to the code-red panic that started the instant he found out he was being traded to Rozanov’s team.
Rozanov, who was supposed to be his great career rival. Rozanov, who he’s hooked up with twice now. Rozanov, who had been planning on coming to Shane’s apartment in Montreal to fuck him the next time they saw each other. God, how on Earth is Shane going to walk into his locker room in Boston in a few days time?
The impending awkwardness of dealing with Rozanov is almost enough to eclipse the hurt he’s trying to ignore. The knowledge that Montreal values him so little that they’re willing to dispose of him only six months into his rookie season. Almost, but not quite.

Levi never particularly wanted sex. His life in the Underground had tarnished his understanding of what sex should be like, and he knew perfectly well how to satisfy himself. Of course there was always a part of himself that imagined what it would be like to find someone who was compatible with his weird neuroses and idiosyncrasies around cleanliness and intimacy and sex. But that was hopeless, especially in the military.

“Live asshole!” You half-yelled at the unconscious man.
You bent down again and placed your mouth on his.
Then his eyes snapped open.
You felt yourself get harshly shoved, feeling the mudflat knock your breath out of you. When you opened your eyes, the man was on his knees, coughing up saltwater with a long box-cutter-like sword held at your throat.
“Woah, woah, woah! What the fuck, dude?!” You said with wide eyes.
“What the hell were you doing?” He seethed.
-This summer, you decided to stay in Maine, working on the odd combo of an oyster and blueberry farm while you studied the landscapes. A painter by trade, you made a living working odd jobs in return for room and board along with selling your paintings. It was a great way to see the world; you had some wildly interesting experiences. Although, surprisingly, this trip to Maine would take the cake.
It all started when you found an unconscious man lying nearly dead on the beach. After you convince him to hear you out and make sure he doesn't keel over and actually die, he realizes that... he's not from here.
The man, you learn, is Levi and he has to find his way home. Right?
