    Apparently Mike and El are trying to “reignite the spark” by having a weekly date night. El had lit up enthusing about it, had broken into her piggy bank to get a new dress for the occasion.
    Mike, for his part, hasn’t looked Will in the eye since the almost-thing had almost-happened.
    And Will. Well, Will keeps drawing Mike’s stupid hands.

    AKA, Mike takes El out for date nights and is a perfect gentleman, and afterwards, he sneaks into Will's room to do less-than-gentlemanly things.

    I settled down beside him, pulling the covers up to my chin, and my teeth began to rattle again and a strange near-nauseous quiver twitched in the center of my abdomen before Boris’ hand thumped me directly on my stomach. It stayed there, the bitten nail beds and the scabs on the corners rasping against the fabric of the sheet, and he patted me in a mildly condescending way.

    But I know he didn’t mean it that way. Because I knew Boris, and he knew me.

    “Back to bed.”

    He said, in a lilting, amused mumble, and he was still just as fucked up as I was.

    That was the first time he’d brought me back to reality, and every time after I never forgot the way his hand felt that day. Warm through the barrier, steadying and grounding, and if I grabbed it too quick and held on too hard, he didn’t say a damn thing.

    When Edward touches him, the world lights on fire. There is nothing else to worry about when those long, slender fingers are caressing his skin. Intimacy is so foreign to him, that the prospect of being touched by another man never crossed his mind. Everything in his life happens fast enough to bruise and hard enough to break him so Oswald longs for the roughest touches, the kind that stains his ivory skin for weeks and will eventually drive him insane but it’s not like that, not with Edward. He is so gentle and careful with his touches, always so casual about it. It comes naturally out of him, like the first words slipping out of a child’s mouth. It’s so organic, so sympathetic that Oswald refuses to believe he does it with any intentions of hurting him at all. And Edward might fake it every time, but Oswald is a customary liar, so as long as he believes in the truthfulness of Edward’s touch, it will be honest.
