He was fine with heresy, with using someone else’s blood, with becoming a cannibal, if it meant that he lived and Regto got avenged in the future. If he only drank it, then he wouldn’t kill anyone. Even as a cannibal he was going to be better than his bastard of a birth father. He’d become the devil if need be.
