Summary
The guy turns around, eyes wide and suddenly Dean feels like someone hit him over the head with a baseball bat. His heart stops for a second before it jumpstarts again, his mouth dropping open when he stares back into blue eyes he thought he’d never see again in his life.
The world stops.
“Cas?”, Dean whispers.
---
After spending year after year of his childhood in Camp Harvelle, Dean finally returns to it as a grown up, this time to watch after a bunch of kids as a camp counselor. He's looking forward to a fun, nostalgic summer, but what he didn't expect is the return of his childhood friend Cas. Or better known as: The guy who suddenly left camp when they were 15 without a word and ghosted Dean since then. Now Dean has to figure out how to deal with the backlash of whatever drove him and Cas apart and also how to keep the kids from trying to constantly get in trouble.

“Yeah, ‘course.” Then Dean grins and nudges Cas’s shin with his foot, “Shame. ‘s been too long since I saw you in a cowboy hat.”
Cas must be truly awake now, because that eye roll looks like it hurts and he gently puts the cat down on the floor.
“Whatever makes you happy, my love”, he replies dryly, starting to collect the dishes and Dean grins brightly, catching Cas’s hip when he walks past him and pulls him close for a kiss against his jaw.
“Can’t blame a guy for gettin’ hot and bothered when his husband looks irresistible in boots and a Stetson.”
---
Life is good in retirement with the little farmhouse, the rescued animals and the love of his life by Dean's side. Life is even better when the love of his life indulges his cowboy kink.

---

Summary
He pries his eyes open and squints into the gray winter light that fills the room through the windows. It’s been like this for days now, no real sunshine and just clouds filling the sky and as much as Dean loves their home, sometimes he thinks that the bunker definitely had advantages when it came to being able to ignore the weather.
With a groan he stretches and then pushes himself up on one elbow, just to find a little note stuck on Cas’s pillow.
Don’t get up, it reads with a strict looking emoji drawn next to it, I will be right back with breakfast. I love you. Happy birthday, honey!

Summary
“I used to selfishly indulge in it whenever you touched me like that in the past. There were only very few moments, but sometimes when I got hurt and you…you were caring for me and I used to think that these small moments are completely worth whatever pain I’ve been going through.”
“That’s stupid”, Dean mumbles and brushes his thumb over Cas’s forehead where a drop threatens to run down into his eyebrows, “You’re stupid.” Somehow the words come out affectionate.
Cas makes a considerable noise.
“I heard that love does that to people.”
---
After being saved from the Empty, Cas takes a bath and Dean can't leave him alone. They talk.

Summary
The eyes of the witch twitch and a hungry look appears on her face, when she reaches out to tug on the hem of Dean’s jacket.
“No, I don’t think there’s anything funny about that”, she purrs and Dean cringes when her finger starts to circle over his chest, “Losing love like that, it’s not funny at all, I can promise you. I wanted to do to them the same thing they did to me. I wanted to take away what they thought was strong enough to justify hurting me like that. But when I saw them…I wanted to see them bleeding. I wanted to see them choke on their lies.” Cooking her head to the side, she lets out a giggle and a trail of blood triples out of her mouth and down her chin, “What a waste of magic. But now that I think about it…”
---
During a hunt Dean barely manages to avoid the attack of a crazy witch. Everything seems alright, so they get back home and apart from a mean headache, Dean is okay. At least he thinks that, until he wakes up to his angelic best friend in his bed and no memories of a full year of their relationship.

Summary
"No, but seriously, do you think I am overreacting? I mean, you probably do, but here's the thing, it's been just texting for four days! Four! I'm his goddamn husband."
Huffing out an annoyed breath, Dean ignores the flinch of the man in front of him while he waves the delicate knife in his face, before he flops down on the only other chair in the room.
"I mean, is a phone call really too much to ask?"
---
Dean feels ignored by his husband who is travelling for work and decides that it's time to get his attention back. Of course, the conclusion is murder.

Summary
Cas looks even more tired than Dean feels. His eyes are red and the bags under them are more prominent than ever. His hair is a hot mess, reminding Dean of the time when Cas was still able to take off any second with just a flick of his wings. The cut on his neck is covered with a white bandage now and he wears different clothes, a gray sweatpants and a black shirt with a hole on the collar, that Dean recognizes as one of his. It makes him look different. It makes him look soft.
Dean likes it a lot.
---
Cas is back and that is great. Except that it worries Dean how much Cas struggles to adjust to humanity, haunted by nightmares and memories every night. So it's just a gesture of their friendship, despite Castiel's feelings for him, when Dean offers Cas to stay with him at night.

Dean’s eyes fly open when his name drops and his knee hits the desk with a dull thump. Hissing out a pained noise, he quickly clicks on the little microphone on the screen with a shaking hand.
"Uh, sorry, what was that? We…we have pretty bad wifi out here."
A low chuckle comes from under the table and Dean has to bite his lip to 1. Keep himself from kicking that little fucker and 2. To hide the moan that threatens to escape him because fuck, these vibrations…

Summary
“Ya know what”, Charlie interrupts his dark thoughts and pokes the tip of the mini-umbrella against Dean’s biceps, “Ya know what would really piss your dad off?” With sparkling eyes she leans forward and Dean, already really excited over whatever Charlie’s genius brain is gonna provide him with, does the same, until their foreheads nearly knock together.
“I think”, Charlie whispers conspiratorially, “you shou’d get married like right now. Prefra – perfe - no, preferably to a stripper or somethin’.” Again she giggles hard and Dean snorts out a laugh, too. Yeah, that would teach his dad. If he wants Dean to get married so badly, then he shouldn’t be surprised if Dean would get hitched to the first person he comes across in Vegas. That would teach him to keep his nose out of Dean’s dating life.
---
Dean's life is miserable. As the CEO of Winchester Estates he barely has time for something different than work and his father also annoys him to finally settle down. Summary
Cas’s mouth drops open. Motionless like a statue he stays right there where he is, his hand still reaching out in Dean’s direction, eyes jumping between Dean’s face and the silver ring. When he doesn’t say something, Dean clears his throat. He had prepared a speech for this, he knows he did, but the only thing he’s saying is:
“Yeah. Consider yourself married now.”
Not a question. Not a proposal. Just cold, hard facts.

Summary
The last time he has seen Cas like that they stood in Bobby’s kitchen, barely knowing a thing about each other yet. For Dean, back then Cas was nothing but another creature with a huge stick up his ass who just wants something from Dean, like everyone always wants something from him. That was before Cas stepped closer, crowding him against the cabinets in Bobby’s kitchen and went into whole ass warrior mode. The drop of his voice, the flash of something dangerous in these blue eyes…all of that made Dean aware back then that Cas is not something to mess with.
Tabi has to learn that the hard way, now.
The air rushes out of her lungs in a squeak when Cas’s hand closes tighter around her throat.
“What do you think gives you the right to touch what’s mine?”
---
Dean gets in trouble during a solo hunt. A witch makes the big mistake to try to cut out some angelic grace out of Dean's shoulder. Cas is not amused about it.

Summary
The alarm clock next to the bed silently switches to 00:00 and for the first time in minutes, Castiel averts his eyes from the red numbers, the only light source in the room. With this change of numbers, it’s officially the 18th September and Castiel can’t help but tighten his arms a bit around the man laying halfway across his chest.
Dean lets out a little, sleepy grunt, before he pushes his nose deeper into the crook on Castiel’s neck and exhales with a satisfied sigh. Cas stays still until he is sure that Dean is still sleeping before he turns his head and gently brushes his lips over his lover’s forehead, the strands of brownish hair tickling the tip of his nose.
Fourteen years.

Summary
“Since these glasses are scorched in holy fire, the hellhounds wouldn’t be the only thing you can see with them”, he explains quietly, an uncertainty in his voice that is so unfamiliar that it makes Dean nervous.
“Okay? Care to elaborate that?”
“My wings, Dean. You will be able to see my wings.”
---
While hunting a hellhound, Cas gets weirdly nervous around Dean wearing the hellhound glasses. Turns out, hellhounds are not the only things Dean can see with them. And if he doesn't put them down once they relieve the after hunt tension, well, that's not exclusively his fault.

"If you think you can come into my territory and make demands, you are even more stupid than you look", the Empty says with John's voice and Sam can feel the way Dean tenses beside him even more, "Castiel knew what he's gotten himself into. He made the deal, not caring that he would leave your sorry clingy ass behind. He's mine."
Sam's hand tightens around Dean's arm, but he knows his brother well enough to know that he's only one snarky remark away from lounging himself at the entity. So Sam does the first thing that comes to his mind.
"Do you have that written down?"
---
Sam and Dean are saving Cas from the Empty. Sam gets into a law argument. That's it. That's the fic.
