Basically just a narrative practice writing thing I'm doing. It'll follow the plot of the games with slight deviations and add-ins. The characters will likely develop fairly differently than they do in the games as this is largely a method of expressing my annoyance with some of the characters' writing, haha.

Cait leaned against the frame of the door and thought for a moment.
"Let me look farther down the passage and check to see if there's another option. I don't want another one of us wounded before we know where exactly this Davaeorn is."
Dorn nodded, clearly understanding the sensibility of this choice even if it wasn't to his taste.

Characters in this are gonna actually be developed (instead of remaining static as they do in the games), so by the end of it some of them might not be quite as you remember them.

It’s Lucy’s first unmedicated heat and she’s never missed the vault so bad. She's had a heat before but never like this, never hungry and painful and so miserably horny she feels like she's going to die. Never in the hot, dry wasteland with only an old ghoul for company. An old ghoul who smells amazing, like whiskey and leather, and who looks kind of handsome in the right light. A ghoul she’s trying not to beg for help from right now because she knows he sees her as just a silly omega vaultie and he’s a rough and tumble kind of alpha but she still wants, god does she want.

“What exactly is the game here, Sweetheart?” Cooper asks when the kiss breaks again, his tone low. Gruff. Thick with the desire he’s been ignoring for so long. It’s not fair how easily she brings it to the surface.
“It feels like we’ve already been playing a game this whole time.” Her nose brushes against the cavity where his used to be. “I like to think this is how we can both win.”
“I ain’t a prize.”
Lucy grins at him because she understands. Because she knows him well enough by now to know it’s a joke. A tease. “Well, I apologise for objectifying you.”
