Summary
Katara grew up in the Southern Water Tribe under the tutelage of Hama, the only waterbender ever to have escaped Fire Nation captivity. When Zuko arrives at the South Pole, seeking the Avatar, they are more than ready to defend him. Iroh watches as his beloved nephew throws himself at the ice walls again and again in an impossible siege–-and resolves to do anything it takes to save his nephew from himself. The moment dragged out.
They were glaring.
Still glaring.
This was the point where the girl would usually be flying away on a bison and he’d be covered in perfume or something.
Something shifted in her expression, and Zuko started fully processing what he had just said, and how it could perhaps have been phrased a little—Her voice was completely flat. “Make. Me. Burn.” Her mouth tugged, started widening into a sly smile.
His stomach dropped. Oh no. “I meant it like—“

Summary
With the fall of Ba Sing Sae and the Avatar, it seemed that the Fire Nation was soon going to prove victorious in the war. Until, one fateful night where Fire Lord Ozai was murdered in cold blood by his returning son.
Zuko took the throne causing Azula and many loyalists of Ozai to flee and regroup in Ba Sing Sae to take him down. Zuko now needs the very people he had hunted for years on end to finally put an end to this war in the name of peace.This should be treated as a Book Three and beyond rewrite with a lot of creative liberties made.
