Gangle and Zooble had immediately run off to who knows where when Caine announced the update had gone live. Pomni didn't know what Jax and Ragatha's reactions were—Jax had left the moment the AI said the word "sex" and Ragatha had left after the word "npc." She hadn't asked the next time she saw them because... quite honestly, she didn't want to know. Kinger had patiently listened to Caine explain the mechanics of it all and then politely declined—he didn't want to imagine being with anyone other than his wife, and that ship had already sailed years ago.
As for Pomni herself...
Well.
So far she was having problems.

He flustered, further under the weight of her amused expression, fiddling with the covers as he worked to shyly avoid it.
“Uh... Please-... Please, don’t…” He groaned. “Don’t make me say it…”
She tilted her hips away with a playful, singsongy “Caaaaine~...” and he let out a desperate, needy sound, panic flashing across his cartoony features.
“Pomni!” He whined, noisy and petulant. “Dear, please make… Please make love… to me.”
“There’s a good bot.” She pressed another kiss to the underside of his jaw, enjoying his huffy, childish noise. “Of course, honey.”

Caine retracts, becoming smaller and smaller with every word.
“Just…”
Kinger watches him as he goes back to his regular size, and then even smaller than that.
“Why can’t you just love me?”
“I do.”
“All of me.”
Or: a study of Kinger and Caine’s relationship, told through a collection of moments from Kinger’s arrival to the circus to the death of Caine.
