His nostrils flared to take in his scent that was not familiar, not the old bite of disinfectant, latex gloves, and chemicals. His eyes were glued to the outline of his profile. And his tongue smacked against his palate when it recalled the familiar taste - always coffee. Rover had drunk more coffee than anyone else he knew, himself included, and that was an impressive but also concerning record.
Luuk waited until he could see the glimmer of gold, Rover’s irises darting to him, then he finally willed his lips to form the words like a sculptor carved marble:
