Summary
Buck hasn't stopped to think what Christopher is going to say about all this, about what it will do to Eddie if he has a problem with it. Buck loves Christopher - hell, some days he feels like Chris is his kid, but this... this might be a step too far.
"Okay, so we talk to him after work," Buck says, like he's not making a mental checklist of every reason this is a bad idea.
Eddie shakes out his shirt, drawing his skin tight against the chords of muscle in his arms, before he pulls it over his head. Buck's gaze clings to the lines of his chest, his stomach, his waist, until the shirt devours all of it. "Right, which means..." Eddie smooths the shirt and looks at Buck again, gaze a little too low before it finds his eyes. "This shift, we tell no one."
"I mean..." Buck should ease into it - get Eddie there like he did - a slow, gradual realization - but it's so wild to him that anyone wouldn't see it now, that he can't stop himself. "I feel like everyone already - or, uh, they might see it coming."
"See what coming?"
"Us."
OR
Buck and Eddie try to navigate when and how to tell everyone they're together with their trademark (lack of) finesse.

Summary
“What are you wearing?” Buck asks.
Eddie’s laugh is sharp and loud, not having expected Buck to say that.
“Really? That’s the best you’ve got?”
“Eddie. It’s a classic. Tell me.”
“What if I said I’ve got nothing on?” Eddie asks, purposely pitching his voice lower.
“Hey,” Buck scolds him. “First rule of phone sex: no lying.”
“There are rules?”
“You are so difficult.”
Eddie tells Buck to text him whenever he's thinking of Tommy, so he doesn't have to keep baking. Safe to say, things...escalate.

Summary
He’s not sure why, but he thought their relationship would change in this huge life-altering way. And of course, in a way, it has. He’s in a relationship with Buck. His favorite person in the world, next to his son. How could that not be life-changing?
But in many ways, their relationship only shifts. Many of the things they did before, they’re still doing. Just… slightly different.
(Or: 5 ways Buck and Eddie’s relationship only slightly changes/kind of stays the same when they start dating + 1 way it drastically changes.)

Summary
“Is something wrong?” Eddie says.
“No! It’s all good. Really, really good," Buck says. "Just, I want it to be good for you too. Like, is this actually what you want, or is this what you think I want?”
Eddie frowns.
“Is this not what you want?” he says.-
Buck and Eddie (not) talking about it.

Summary
Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)
