University AU where Francesa is supposed to be in a perfectly loving relationship with her boyfriend, John, with a sensible future of marriage and children on the horizon, right up until John's cousin, Michaela Stirling, returns from a sabbatical abroad and Francesa finds herself, suddenly, hopelessly curious about another woman in ways that are utterly nonsensical.
Now Francesa finds herself unable to stay away and trying very hard not to think about why telling Michaela she and John are dating feels like it would ruin everything. Surely keeping that little detail about her relationship status cannot be seen as lying if Michaela never asked. Right?

"You’re a tense one, aren't you?" Michaela murmured, her voice dropping into a velvet purr.
Francesca didn't answer. She couldn't. She was paralyzed by the sudden, suffocating intensity of the air between them.
Michaela dropped her gaze to Francesca’s mouth, then back up. Then she rose onto her tiptoes and stepped closer. Her lips were only a few centimeters from Francesca’s ear.
"I was afraid we wouldn’t be convincing with only twenty-four hours of preparation. But I have a feeling," she whispered, her thumb brushing against Francesca’s collarbone, "that we won't have any trouble at all. You have a very... interesting way of looking at me agent Falcon"

Summary
The offseason gets boring toward the end for Tyrese Maxey. There are clearly only so many tropical vacations on stunning far away islands a man like him can handle.
The draft is usually just a sign that it’s almost time to get back to work, to start getting his reps back in before official practice starts. A distraction finally giving Tyrese something to look forward to other than the hope of a championship, which seems to be getting more likely slowly but surely.
But a quick reminder of the Sixers’s most recent first round pick sends him down a bit of a loophole, one he isn’t sure he wants to escape.
Or: Tyrese Maxey wants to learn about his new rookie teammate and ends up learning more about himself, too.

“And you must be?”
The corner of Michaela’s mouth quirked again as she clearly waited for something. It took far too long for Francesca to realize that Michaela was waiting on her. Francesca felt her mouth open, but no words came out. The question was a simple one, but the answer to it was not.
Who was she?
She was so many things, so many people, all wrapped up in one. And she’d never be able to share the full truth. Not with anyone. Not even her family.
Michaela clearly found her inability to speak amusing. The quirk of lips transformed into a smile, and something hot and syrupy and wonderful zipped through Francesca at a speed she was only capable of in flight, with clouds between her knees and endless skies in front of her.
“I- I’m, uh- Francesca. Francesca Zor-”
Anthony cleared his throat hastily and glared at Francesca out of the corner of his eye.
Rao, she’d almost said her real name.
“-Bridgerton. Francesca Bridgerton is my name,” Francesca finished, letting out an awkward, tittering laugh.
