Summary
It’s the mid 1910’s in France. Two fishermen get in an accident out at shore, and one’s left without an eye. The other gets drafted to the Great War, leaving the highly religious and half-blind Lucien alone to his delusions. He convinces himself that this is a punishment from God, and offs himself from the command of an angel - a shadowy amalgam of eyes, wings and sweet lies.
Pierre comes home and sees his beloved slumped over. What will he do? How will he deal with it? You’ll just have to read to find out! (And by read I mean wait ages for me to get off my ass and actually write the damn thing, school is kicking my ass)
