Summary
What if Nesta refuses to go along with Feyre's well meaning but nasty intervention and chooses her own path? In this fic, she chooses her autonomy and risks death in the human lands. Of course, our prickly and feisty girl makes her own rules as she builds and eventually rules over a crime empire. Along the way she pulls together the people that love her and learns how to heal herself.
Nesta pushed down the fear, the human lands were dangerous but she couldn't get distracted. She needed all of her confidence and focus to get out here first and then she would deal with the next situation.
"Alright." Turning around, she held out her arms to Cassian. "Come on lover, one last flight and you're done with me." Cassian opened his mouth and closed it again, eyes shining. Nesta felt a momentary pang at seeing the warrior's hurt displayed so openly, she hadn't had many people in her life that wore their hearts on their sleeve. She hardened her own heart against it. "It's a long fucking walk, children. I need to start now if you're not going to take me." She strode to the foyer, hand outstretched to open the door when she felt Rhys's claws scratch at her mind.
