He did. He knew he did, that was impossible to deny. Hajime was a beacon of light in his eyes. He guided the others; he was the reasonable and dependable guy his entire class could look to when they were unsure of what to do. He got along with all of them and everyone felt at ease with him. That was true with no talent or every single talent in the world, because that quality was just so intrinsically Hajime’s.
“Yes. I still do,” he admitted, avoiding eye contact. “Everyone here does.”
“I’m not talking about them,” Hajime pleaded, insisting. Nagito broke, because he was a weak, weak man.

Summary
Will Byers returns to Hawkins when his mother, finally stable, asks him to come back for good. Starting his third year of high school in a town that is both familiar and completely different, Will has to relearn where he fits.
He reconnects with Lucas and is pulled into his circle, Dustin, Max, and Mike Wheeler who also happens to be a vampire.
Max grinned. "He seems like a baby type to me. Mike."
Will groaned into his open locker before swinging it shut and turning to face her. "That's so basic. Love at least sounds nice."
"Beloved, honestly," Dustin said, from directly beside Will's other shoulder, where he had apparently been standing. "You're both severely underestimating his corniness. Beloved is completely within range."
"Beloved is not corny," Will said, and then before anything in him could intervene: "He called me angel once."

Having sold their house in Hawkins a year and a half prior and moved to California, when they came back, and the town got put in lockdown, they didn’t have a place to go.

Summary
The afternoon sun filters through the curtains, casting golden streaks across their tangled limbs. Will can smell the distinct scent of Mike – like fresh dirt and pine trees and something else he can't name but knows is just Mike.
"I'm the alpha wolf," Mike growls playfully, baring his teeth in a way that makes Will's heart race. The small bunny hybrid tries to wriggle free, but Mike's weight keeps him firmly in place.
"You're—" Will's words catch in his throat when he feels something hard pressing against his thigh. Something that wasn't there before. His ears twitch with confusion, nose scrunching up as he shifts beneath Mike. "What's that?"
