Venti leaned in, then pressed his plump lips right against a pulse point. Zhongli didn’t say anything but his sinew tensed up, peeking through tawny skin.

Xiao slams into the thing, tackles it to the ground. The vampire goes without resistance, back flat against the cobblestones, Xiao on top of it.
Too easy, warns that voice at the back of his head. That was too easy. Xiao pins the thing’s hands above his head, leans more of his weight on it. Holds his knife to the vampire’s throat.
“Last words?” he says.
The vampire’s eyes open, a bright unnatural green, and it smiles. “Well, aren’t you forward?”
