Summary
Sir Sirius Black, a fearsome and honorable knight of the Sacred Kingdom, has grown weary of the lies fed to all who serve the Serpent King.
Unfortunately, due to his reputation, the cruel, immoral king seeks him out to assign him a task. He is to be the personal guard to a captive Gryffindor Princess, and is told to take the head of anyone who might threaten her. Or else lose his own.
Now his life and the future of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black are inextricably linked to the fate of the Princess Hermione of House Potter. She is everything a princess should be, and nothing he could have expected.
Keeping her safe and making her feel welcome should not be difficult, in theory. The only problem is that the task is simply impossible.

Struggling to adapt to a world she no longer recognises, Hermione is adopted by Theodore Nott and Harry Potter, both Ministry officials who are determined to give her a second chance at life.
Too busy to care for her, they leave her in the hands of their mutual friend: Draco Malfoy—who now finds himself responsible for the woman he once loved, even if she no longer remembers him.
