    Their attempt at a desert vacation on Rakhana goes awry when mercenaries intervene with rifles. Absolutely typical, thinks Shepard, shaking the sand out of her Eviscerator, and immediately heads back out with a squad to confront their leader.

    But this is no opportunistic ambush, and for once they are not after her. The trail leads Shepard and her remaining crew in a chase across desert sands and oceans, disguises and betrayals and escapes, firefights and sword fights (and the first Normandy Cheat Championship), and ends in the most unexpected place of all...

    But however hard they fight, the sand will run onward. Perhaps the only enemy Shepard cannot truly face is time itself.

    When they put it like that, it's difficult to argue.
