    Summary

Diluc was in the midst of sluggishly scrubbing a glass when the sound of the door opening reached his ears. Archons know he prayed that it wasn't a last-minute guest. Ways to subtly turn the person down and tell them to come back the next day were quickly swarming into his head.

Slightly irritated, Diluc closed his eyes and exhaled inaudibly. He wiped his hands with a nearby towel and was about to excuse himself when, finally, a soft-spoken voice resounded behind his back.

"My apologies for the sudden intrusion. Are you still open?"

Although Diluc was fully prepared on what to say, the moment he turned around the words got caught in his throat.

    Summary

    "You can feed on me."

Zhongli's offer hung in the air while Childe's mind raced with disbelief. It seemed utterly impossible, too surreal to be true. Maybe he was hallucinating from the pain, still sitting alone in the bathroom, lost in a delirium induced by his injuries. Or maybe this was some sick, twisted version of hell, where Zhongli's offer was nothing more than a cruel illusion that would soon fade away.

Childe blinked, trying to make sense of the situation. "What did you say?"

"I offer you my blood," Zhongli repeated, rolling up the sleeve of his shirt, exposing his wrists that simply begged to be bitten.

    Childe was definitely hallucinating.

    Summary

"Did I not tell you that you would fall?" Zhongli bit out, his voice edged with irritation.

Suppressing the urge to roll his eyes again, Childe replied. "I know, I know. But this wouldn't have happened if we stayed on the first path."

The hold on his collar tightened, a silent warning.

    "So this is my fault?"

Despite the hunter's obvious displeasure, Childe knew Zhongli couldn't do anything drastic due to the contract they were bound by. The vampire didn't do anything that would give Zhongli a reason to kill him. For now.

    "More or less."

    Summary

"I didn't peg you for the suicidal type."

"I am not," Zhongli replied, his tone defensive, as if he had any right to feel offended.

"Seems like it if you're asking me to do this," Childe retorted, his lips curving into a half-smirk.

"Do you wish to live or not?" Zhongli's tone regained its firmness, the stake still hovering close to Childe's heart, serving as a silent warning.

"Okay, okay. No need for any more threats today," Childe relented with a resigned sigh. "I'll do it, but it's your funeral. Don't you dare pin your death on me."

He was definitely going to die.
