Summary
Perplexed, Randall shook his head. “How can you say that after everything you’ve seen?”
She shrugged. “I’m still here.”
It was a cold reminder to him that he also was still here, despite his efforts. He looked her over. The wind whipped her hair across her frost-reddened cheeks and easy-going smile. Admiration grew within him.
“And we still have weed,” she added playfully, to which he brightened significantly.
“You got some now?”

Summary
"A search and rescue mission was finally proposed in a town hall meeting one night in the central plaza. Julie had watched as a father, with his son and daughter meekly trailing behind, made a plea to cobble together a few people to try and look for any other survivors beyond the shores of their new island. He had been one of those whose residence had been torn away on another piece of Lumière. He was a simple painter by trade, but was willing to take up any job if it meant finding his wife and eldest daughter again, who had been separated from the rest of the family. That desperation was so achingly known to the point that words needed not be spoken between the people in attendance to reach a unanimous agreement. It was natural, then, that the man - Renoir - was appointed the leader of the mission. Those who weren’t already neck-deep in rebuilding the city were eager to join, with Julie included. She didn’t think she’d be able to take another day of living in the midst of such a stark reminder of the way of life she had lost."

Summary
A sequel to the film, in which Lucius and Ivy make sobering discoveries. This story makes plot use of a detail I established in my short fic "Extrascentsory Perception," but it can be read as a standalone.

Summary
***WARNING: SPOILERS FOR DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH ***
It’s only once he’s just behind her that his feet begin to stumble, hesitancy laced into his movements as he makes those final few steps. He doesn’t bother to say her name. He simply reaches a trembling hand out, clasping it softly around her arm.
Colour and warmth blossom from his touch, spreading out from his hand across her body. His breath catches in his throat as she moves, finally turning around to face him. That familiar smile pulls at her lips as her eyes meet his, like she had never gone. Like he was simply running into her aboard the Magellan after a job well done.
“Miss me already?”
