Summary
Rin Okumura wasn’t always the Antichrist. Up until about a week ago, he’d been human—just a regular teenager living under the roof his adoptive father who also happened to be a preist. Now? He’s Satan’s spawn, destined to bring about the apocalypse. It’s enough to make anyone’s head spin, but for Rin, the weight of it is unbearable. He was raised to believe in God, in salvation, in the goodness of humanity. Now all that faith feels like a cruel joke, replaced with the knowledge that he’s the enemy of everything he held sacred. The guilt gnaws at him, but there’s an itch he can’t scratch, whispering that maybe this was always who he was meant to be.
Meanwhile, Ryuuji Suguro had always known his destiny. He’s a prophet, after all, and with it comes visions. The kind of visions no kid should have. The prophecy he carries is one of doomsday, and the source of that doom is clear: a boy. Not just any boy, but the Antichrist.
The only reason Ryuuji is even at True Cross Academy is to find him. If he can find the Beast, then maybe, just maybe, he can stop the apocalypse before it starts. And he’s determined. No way is he letting the world end just because of some guy—not even if that guy happens to be Satan’s kid.

Summary
When Ryuuji finally meets Rin, it’s almost anticlimactic. The guy storms into Mr. Okumura’s classroom halfway through the first semester, mid-lecture, with a fire in his chest and the weight of his own destiny pressing down on his shoulders. So while Ryuuji was ready to confront his fate, he wasn't ready for Rin.
The first thing Ryuuji thinks is that the kid looks like a punk—messy hair, slouched posture, a perpetual smirk that practically screams trouble. The second thing Ryuuji thinks is far worse.
Because, damn, he’s beautiful.
For a split second, Ryuuji almost forgets about the visions, the prophecy, the apocalypse. And now, all he can think about is how unfair it is that the world is going to end before he gets the chance to bag this guy.
Truly a pity that the end is near.
Or
Ryuuji’s a prophet, Rin’s the Antichrist (... among other things), the world ends, shit gets crazy, they fall in love, and somehow everyone makes it out alive.
Mostly in that order.
