Summary

Despite them both knowing better, they end up forming a relationship. Can they overcome everything and find happiness? Yes, they can. However, that doesn't mean it will be easy or that figures from their pasts won't come back to haunt them.

The signal may have been easy to miss, had it been between anyone else, but Vash had spent over a century with people, and not only could read them well, but also enjoyed spending time with them. Wolfwood, he knew, was shy, like a kitten that had been not only abadoned, but kicked as well, and was dealthy aware of the potential dangers all living being held.

Nicholas was someone inherently easy to love. It wasn't that he was gorgeous, though, with his ample chest and handsome nose, he was certainly very easy on the eyes, and easy on the mouth as well. He was just a kindhearted person, strong enough to not only do the unpleasant tasks, but also kind enough to attempt to protect others from the world's cruelties. He was so loving, you could see it in his grey eyes, no level of abuse or hardship ever able to remove that from him.
