Summary
When Remus is betrayed and robbed of his birthright by his brother, death would have been a far more merciful sentence. But instead, he is sold as a slave to the prince of the enemy neighbouring kingdom, who embodies everything Remus hates. Sirius is arrogant, spoiled and cruel and suddenly Remus finds himself in a world full of intrigue and lies. The year is 1714, we're at the height of the golden age of piracy and Sirius of the House of Black is about to be officially named the Prince of Wales when he decides to run away and leave his royal life behind...and his brother. Just wanting to flee from England, he boards a ship as a stowaway only to find out that it belongs to an infamous pirate crew under the leadership of Captain James Potter. And before he knows it, Sirius is drawn into an adventurous hunt for a legendary treasure and a battle against an evil haunting the sea, and as if all that weren't enough there's also the captain's second-in-command, whose mysterious nature draws him in right away.

He looked at Sirius sharply, and for once, matched his grin. “Yeah.”
“Maybe that’s my excuse then,” Sirius said. “I cause a bit of chaos now, and maybe one day, it’ll turn into rock and roll.”After losing his mother at age eleven, Remus has spent the better part of the last four years bouncing from school to school or else running around London and pretending as though he wasn't the kind of well-bred boy his father brought him up to be. Now, with his chances all run out, Remus is sent to Hawkings Independent School as a last-ditch effort to clean up his act. There he meets the very people who will set up the rest of his life, and is forced to confront the pieces of himself he'd long thought had been lost.
