Summary
Lance didn’t want to call himself a coward. He’d go up against anything to prove otherwise but if you asked him to say goodbye to Keith, you may as well tattoo the word across his forehead because he wasn’t about to.

Summary
“Hm.” Mycroft let the sound rumble in his throat, appreciative of William’s efficiency in his explanation. “So you propose locum tenens.” He stated, rather than asked.
William smiled.
Locum tenens.
A latin phrase, meaning “to hold the place of, to substitute for.” Referring to one who temporarily takes the place of another. Most often used in reference to doctors or clergymen.
But not always.
Mirth shone in William’s eyes.
Or:
My own take on a story inspired by a Tumblr post by @user-needs-new-hyperfixation, specifically: “Mycroft/William set in between A Scandal in the British Empire and The Final Problem, in which they have a lot of technically very good but very miserable sex while pining over each other's brothers and picking apart each other's brains brutally.”In which Mycroft and William act as temporary stand-ins for their brothers, influenced heavily by my headcanon that Mycroft was able to deduce William’s real Moriarty Plan.

Bookmarker's Notes
Holy Christ above, I actually never wanted this to end but I could not for the life of me but the phone down, never was this not captivating. The writing is, for the lack of better words, incredibly delicious. The grip you had in honoring the characters respectfully was a home run. Out of the park, genuinely astonishing. I could honestly break down every sentence on here and explain why its so freaking good and hit every sweet spot like Mycroft did lol. Very very delicious work and the bittersweet edge of tragedy, chef's kiss! Thank you for writing this masterpiece I shall place it on the shelf for whenever I am starving. This really opens up the possibility that they can reincarnate, just not at the same time or maybe they can but its still not enough to live what they lost.

Very in character, kinda introspective. Really enjoyed the dialog and mannerisms. Felt very on brand and collected. I dont know but this was insanely well written. Not sure what Nick was feeling here aside from dread but its definitely different from others that I liked

Summary
"This isn’t—it’s not a date," Judy argued. "Nick’s not flirting with me. Buying a drink doesn’t mean anything.”
“Maybe once means nonsense. Maybe even twice.” Nibbles tipped her drink back toward the bar, where Nick waited for her drink. “But no beaver ever brought me wood unless she intended to bring me home that night. And that fox spoils you daily.”
or, nick makes a habit of spoiling judy (it takes her a few tries to figure out why)
