Nancy decides to pay Eddie to befriend Steve because he is sad and lonely but also doesn’t want to talk to her after everything with Jonathan.
Eddie needs the money. To pay for his Uncle’s bills, to maybe buy something nice for himself, but in either case, he needs the money. Plus Harrington’s been slightly nicer ever since he broke things off with Hagen and Perkins.
And, Steve’s just happy to have a friend. For now…

Summary
A space battle goes wrong, Luke and Vader end up shooting each other down and crash land on an uninhabited planet. Vader reaches the crash site of the rebel snub before his adversary has regained consciousness. With Imperial search crews slowed down, Vader decides to interrogate the rebel pilot and then dispose of him. That is, until he realizes who exactly is in his hands.

Then, Jack did something unexpected. His eyes slid past Ralph, past the furious Piggy, and landed directly on Simon. The smirk vanished, replaced by a look of cool, appraising calculation that made Simon's blood run cold.
“But I'm a reasonable chief,” Jack continued, his voice dropping to a conversational tone that was somehow more terrifying than his shouting.
“I believe in fair trades. So I'm going to make you an alternative offer.”
