Summary
It takes Tim three weeks to realize that he’s been exposed to something. His reactions have been off since that night at the harbour when Dick almost got thrown in the river and Bruce shoved Tim to one side to get to Dick and Tim fell face forward into a weird pile of grey dust and choked on it. The dust didn’t have any immediate effects, nothing obvious. It just made him gasp and cough and made his eyes burn under the cowl for a few seconds. Then he needed to check on Dick and then they got back to the Cave and he checked on Dick again and then Dick was saying something about a movie night and Tim found himself smiling and then he stayed over for dinner and the movie and thought nothing of it. It’s only now, three weeks later, that he wakes up in his room in the Manor and thinks wait, what? It’s only now, now that he’s flooded with sudden panic, that he realizes that he hasn’t felt anything resembling panic for three full weeks.

Summary
Wrecked. It’s a word that Jason often thinks when he’s thinking about himself, after, once he’s able to think at all. His body’s a wreck. His mind’s a wreck. He pictures himself as wreckage, as a ragged mess that’s been blown back to Gotham by some random tide, after the storm that was Bruce and the clown and the crowbar and the Pit blew him sky-high. He’s all holes and hollow places and rage blows through him day and night like a high wind.
“Nice,” the replacement Robin says appreciatively, from his bloody place at Jason’s feet. “Kind of — dramatic — but I get it. It’s like a metaphor, right?”
Jason didn’t come here to kill this kid but that was before he started eavesdropping on Jason’s thoughts and offering commentary. He actually thinks killing him might be a reasonable idea at this point.

Summary
Red Robin hates Jason. It’s not hard to guess why and, honestly, the hatred works out pretty well for Jason too. He wasn’t exactly at his best, the first time he met the little shit, and he’s not interested in thinking too much about that time in his life. So if Tim keeps his distance—if his words to Jason are strictly limited to relevant facts and brief sarcasm—if he turns around and walks out of a room when he finds Dick and Jason there together—it’s all good. It’s what he wants.
Yes, the hatred makes it a tad awkward when he ends up being the one trapped alone in a locked basement with Tim-the-civilian when Ivy’s just coated the idiot with her latest, when he’s the one who has to wrestle the skinny limbs into a pin and hold him while he shivers and glares and hates Jason so much that it looks like he might die from it. But. It’s fine. They’ll get through this, it’ll be an awkward few hours before rescue, and then they’ll never have to talk about it again. It’ll be fine.
It’s not fine.

Summary
It happens on a Tuesday night, on a rooftop in Gotham, the way so many horrible things do. One moment Jason has the Replacement’s throat under his hand and his blood is boiling with irritation and the kid’s wearing that irritating little smirk that means he’s got the information that Jason needs but he’s so desperate to show off about how he found out that he’s willing to take the risk of being strangled. The next moment he’s got a huge hand on his throat, gripping hard, and he’s short and his heart’s going like a rabbit’s and there’s a red helmet inches from his nose.
The next—
The next—
What the fuck.

Summary
Tim can see so clearly how this is going to go. Batman will never kill the Joker. Jason will take that as proof that Bruce doesn't care about him, has never cared about him. Bruce will try and try to prove him wrong, twisting himself up tighter and tighter and doing worse and worse every time. Jason will see confirmation of Bruce's disinterest in every twitch, and Bruce will see the evidence of his own failure in every rebuff.
Sometimes Tim is so, so tired.

The Red Hood didn't have anything urgent to do after breaking into Titans Tower to fight the new Robin. Winning the fight was easy. Kidnapping Robin was easy. What to do next was more of a problem.

Summary
Title from Shakespeare's sonnet 87:
Farewell! thou art too dear for my possessing,
And like enough thou know'st thy estimate:
The charter of thy worth gives thee releasing;
My bonds in thee are all determinate.
