Summary
Leon's new life in Raccoon City is nothing like he imagined it would be. His boss despises him for reasons he can't figure out, and forbids him from most of the station and from doing anything in his job description. He's not helping anyone like he had wanted to, he's either sitting around doing nothing or running stupid errands for Umbrella.
It doesn't help that he's also broke and came to the city with nothing except the clothes on his back and his jeep, which has become his home. Something which he has to weave a web of lies to hide so that his hot, rich, genius scientist boyfriend won't dump him for being a loser, because Luis is the only good thing that's happened to him in this city.
(And maybe Luis is harboring some secrets of his own…)

Summary
Chris Redfield is an S-Class Esper at 7% stability. He's one step away from a neural collapse that will turn him into a rogue threat, more so he is convinced he could handle the pressure of the Raccoon City outbreak alone. That's it until an accidental touch from a rookie cop silenced the static in his head for the first time in years.
On the other hand, Leon Kennedy just wanted to survive his first day on the force. He didn't ask to be a Guide for the legendary Captain that he barely knows, and he certainly didn't ask to be labeled a "strategic necessity" by the military. Now, as the city attempts to return to normal, Leon is determined to stay a cop. But, he soon realizes that staying near Chris is a biological necessity— and walking away might be a death sentence for them both.

“I have to do something when I’m not in the field. If I don’t, all I think about is–” Leon's voice died in his throat, and he dipped the toe of his boot into a nearby puddle. “Well. You know.”
“Yeah.” Carlos’s voice was rough, his hand moving to rest on Leon’s good shoulder. He grasped the leather of his jacket and shook him a little. “I do know… which is why I’m here.” He used his free hand to pull out his phone again, flicking away from the image of Leon and to a different one with his thumb. “This screenshot is from a security camera in the Kijuju Autonomous Zone. I’m heading there right after this to investigate potential BOW smuggling, so BSAA West Africa pulled all the intel they could.”
Leon squinted at the sudden brightness of the device, then froze when he comprehended what he was looking at. “That’s… not possible,” he said slowly, breathlessly, a shaking hand curling around the phone so he could examine it more closely. “It can’t be.”
“It’s not proof, but it’s damn close,” Carlos said, allowing Leon to clutch his phone like a lifeline and letting go of his jacket, finally convinced he wasn’t about to bolt. “So… you coming with me?"
