    Having ended their civil war with a bang and a very belated peace treaty in their own universe, Optimus and Megatron find themselves in the TF:One timeline, before everything went wrong. Not wishing the same war on their young counterparts, they try their best to steer them towards a better path, before it's too late. It doesn't exactly go well. There might be a body count.

    World building heavy story where D-16 gets a mentor figure, writes a poem, chases after Orion to save him from himself (and from the Plot), has the worst month of his life and uncovers some of the Horrors hidden in Cybertron's history, not necessarily in that order.

    https://youtu.be/j97qkT9wW2s?si=2Pbwnq4oycZXLR6z - Animals by STOMACH BOOK, there are so many reasons I put this here, firstly I tend to always read fics with 7n7 with a mindset of "this guy is trans masc unless the fic says otherwise", and this is a song that has clear themes of transgender experiences. secondly, this song parallels 7n7's panic very well in my head, this is mainly based on the interpretation of the tempo and instruments used. thirdly, I think the beginning of the song matches the fears 7n7 has regarding c00lkidd if he were to be caught- he doesn't want people to see his son as a monster, ESPECIALLY because he also named c00lkidd like the C00LGUI. fourthly, this song demonstrates how haunted 7n7 is by his past and how it's catching up to him even when he's sprinting. fifth and finally, I like to think a possibly but unlikely pathway this fic might take is that if confronted by his past and harmed by it, 7n7 would resort back to using his C00LGUI and lash out- I notice he doesn't seem to feel the weight of his actions with the C00LGUI, unlike when it's c00lkidd using it, 7n7 still has rose-tinted glasses regarding some of the C00LGUI, so despite his present guilt and anxiety because of his past, it was more distressingly to him when c00lkidd was using it than what distress I see from the text provided when he remembers his past. So, with this in mind, I think he would be more likely to pick it back up again if pressured- he values c00lkid more than his own consequences anyways, he'd do a lot to prevent his son from being harmed.
