Summary
Regulus black had been here for quite a bit; he had seen wars that went in the history books, diseases that died off with the people they infected, and watched people he cared for grow old and die. As the years went on, he learned not to make those connections anymore, not unless he was prepared to eventually have to move on. He always thought he was, but he wasn’t.
He instead chose to spend his time in the library, re-studying the history he had already lived, watching as everything seemed to repeat itself, and saying hello to old friends who only existed in dusty books no one picked up but him.
Well, almost no one but him.

Regulus found himself climbing the stairs to leave the common room, a small whisper of a smile still playing on his lips; he could blame the alcohol for letting an overwhelming sense of satisfaction slip onto his face. He was mean, and he never got to be; he had to behave, be the quiet Black, the calm one, but with Potter, the one so desperate to have everyone like him and see the good in everyone, , made something twist, heat, and pool in the bottom of his stomach.

Barty enjoyed doing stupid shit, enjoyed the rush of doing something he wasn’t supposed to, something illegal usually. So here he was standing in the middle of someone's house and from the looks of it either someone's grandma or some creep who has a thing for lace and floral patterns. Barty didn’t entirely need to be here… he still had cash saved up and it wasn’t like Meadowes was asking for rent or anything but honestly, after the week he's had, he deserves a nice night out like this. Barty has always been handsy, with everyone, running his fingers through some Hufflepuff's hair while thinking he’s hidden behind the shelves in the library, wrapping his arms around Regulus's waist while they wait in line at Honeydukes, and now he’s pressed up against some tall bloke with dark hair, hands running up and down his sides.
And Evan shouldn’t be jealous, he and Barty aren’t together, and Barty wasn’t his. Except he was. Barty might run around like a slut, enjoy getting passed around like the spliff he'd light the moment they walked into a party, but he always came back to Evan. Crawling into his bed in the middle of the night begging for what no one else would give him. Could give him. whining and nuzzling Rosier's neck like an attention seeking puppy. He shouldn’t be jealous not when he knows where the boy will end up before the party ends, but he is.

Ok, so where do I start? This is a crossover with Marauders and a lovely book that's completely underrated: The Darkness Outside Us. You don't need to read it to read/understand this but if you enjoy gay space books you should read it. I'd like to apologize in advance this was a spur-of-the-moment thing, there will be grammatical errors and some spelling mistakes but if you can look past that enjoy. updates will be whenever I have time but there will be them so yeah.

Regulus and his crew are sent on an away mission to answer a distress call from his cousins. The issue? No one has any memory of the launch and the ships Ai keeps giving them the run-around. Worse off? Regulus Black has to face some feelings buried deep down on top of new ones he's trying to hide away.

Weird shit keeps happing, no one wants to bring it up, people die but come back, and feelings are talked about and sorted through ( reluctantly and slowly). There's some flirty and spicy stuff, talks about ftm stuff, and overall in their own forms a bit of self-hatred.

Barty with his silly Oi! and Regulus with his extremely bland Nice to meet you. Who the fuck has a soulmark like that? It defies the purpose of a soulmate identifying mark, for fuck’s sake!
