Summary
Though the Hound Program showed great promise, it came too little and too late. The empire has fallen and the Republic is on the rise.
But just because the empire is gone, doesn't mean its handlers are. One such handler, Andrea Song, has taken a deal with the new Republic: We'll give you the resources, you reverse what has happened to the hounds we've captured, and create a new, more "moral" form of program, and we won't prosecute you for your crimes.
Now, Andrea Song and her hounds, Jasra Bakari and Amira Orlais, navigate life at a Republic military base. Song, on a team of de-programmers and therapists. Jasra and Amira, as prisoners facing "re-indoctrination." For the sake of their friends, loved ones, and war buddies, hopefully they can be saved before their Handler makes her move.

Summary
Sometimes, plans don't survive first contact. Sometimes they go so horribly wrong that even the major players just disappear before anyone knows what's happening. Sometimes you lose a mech pilot behind enemy lines. Sometimes they're found, in a sorry state. Sometimes, civilians take in wounded soldiers. Sometimes this is a mistake.
Sometimes you name the soldier after the only word they'll say to you.
Sometimes the most important person in your life goes missing, and fuck the chain of command you hope she comes back to you.
Far future, post-country, micro-war. This isn't about the war, it's about the friends who land in your backyard.

Summary
Philomela, dysphoric and depressed, follows her older sister in joining the Rebellion. Just when things seem to be getting better for her, poor circumstance puts her in the care of the sinister Handler Theta, who seems to want to use Philomela's dysphoria to her own ends.
