Summary
Mickey would have an easier time swallowing his sentence if he’d actually meant to commit attempted murder. Then again, if he’d meant to, then that wasn’t what he’d be going down for. If he’d meant to, Sammi Slott would already be dead.
But hey, he’d known he was screwed for life since he was a kid. The only problem was that he hadn’t thought there would be a reason to change that back then.

Summary
Even if this one is mostly for fun, you still have to consider what characters we are dealing with and their canon backgrounds that have made them that way.
Mickey did something out of character last night. It was only to make Ian happy, which, let's face it, is not out of character... Ian was too drunk to remember and now he thinks Mickey is acting kind of weird, which is not really out of character either...
And then it turned into a wedding night and a honeymoon too.

Tired and dreamy and it all feels so fucking surreal when they walk out of the disco into the ocean’s air. Mickey under his arm and against his side, FUCK just barely hanging onto Ian’s belt at the center of his back.When he swerves towards the beach, Ian gives him a tug, tight to his side, turning his head to lean against Mickey’s hair, “room’s that way.”
“Yeah, well, ocean’s that way. And I ain’t ever been night swimming.”
Shit, he’s got one brow up and that cocky set to his lips and fuck, yeah, Ian’s about to go skinny dipping in the fucking Caribbean Sea.

Summary
Mickey gives him a look, one with wide eyes and a hard set jaw, and pointedly turns his back and faces the wall. In any other setting, it would look as though he’s laying down for sleep, but Ian knows better. Mickey probably won’t sleep at all tonight; he’s going to be replaying his own words on a loop over and over, agonizing and wishing it never even come out of his mouth.
