But lately, the back of his neck has started betraying him again, prickling with goosebumps and old fear even though the Mind Flayer is gone. When Mike notices, he refuses to let Will keep treating that part of himself like something ruined.

Summary
After years of repressing his feelings, Mike Wheeler finds himself confused about what he feels for Will. He had always been certain he didn’t like boys, but the longer he hides who he truly is, the more it hurts to watch Will drift further away from him. Reality hits harder than he ever expected when the thought of Will falling in love with someone else crosses his mind.
Faced with the possibility of losing him, Mike realizes that the pain of letting Will go is far greater than the fear of accepting himself.

Mike Wheeler invites the party over for a night at his house, hoping to reconnect with Will after he begins distancing himself following Mike’s rejection of his feelings. What Mike doesn’t realize is that fear has kept him from facing the truth about himself. Will just blinked fast. Still half asleep.
“God.. You really are half-asleep” Mike let out an exhale. “Will, I need you to listen to me, okay?” He almost grabbed his hand again, but didn’t. “I’m gonna say a lot… And probably freak the fuck out. Can you… can you pay attention?”
OR
On a random Tuesday night Mike drives to NYC, wakes Will up and tells him everything.
