“I could kiss you.” Richie suggests without much thought. If Eddie wasn’t blushing before he is now. “I mean only if you wanted to.”
Eddie whips his head to face Richie again. The boy in front of him is completely flushed but playing it off a lot better than Eddie. His eyes are wide and he’s biting his lip in anticipation, waiting to see what Eddie will say. Eddie has half a mind to think he’s messing with him.
“It wouldn’t be weird or change anything between us,” Richie blurts out. “You would just get to try it out— y’know, for the party. It’ll just be like practice.”
