Summary
In a world almost like our own, seven powerful families of spellcasters called Magi openly protect humanity against monstrous djinn. They're loved and idolized but not all is as it seems.
The story follows three main protagonists and their allies:
-Mei Dragon, a wide-eyed Magi whose worldview is challenged by a mysterious threat that has her questioning everything she once held sacred.
-Alex Tran, a jaded young human who seeks a power that can threaten the Magi that wronged him. Even if it makes him a villain.
-Nathan Pryde, a student who is obsessed with the Magi, crashes paths with a woman wielding strange abilities not even the Magi possess.
Their investigations will have them fighting the world and even each other as they race towards the real threat. A conspiracy that could break the world's fragile balance.
