“This is so messed up.” Dwight would think.
Most survivors had bonded with one another, trying to seek any form of comfort and intimacy in this realm. It hadn’t been like this at first, but he doesn’t know how long they’ve been in here. Months? Years? No one had even entertained the idea of having any form of relationship with one another until they became desperate for it. It’s as if the entity knew they needed it, so it let them have this. If someone went into heat or rut, the entity would leave them and their partner alone until they were done.
But there were some like him who hadn’t mated with anyone. The temptation was strong, to find comfort in one another, but they willed themselves to not meddle.
No, instead their situation was a bit more different. The thought of it had never crossed his mind, simply being because the fear each killer struck into him overrode anything else. But then he’d seen it.
