Summary
John's routine was always the same: wake up, train, shower, work, eat, work, sleep.
The routine was tiring, tedious, and torturous to what little peace he clung to within himself. Thoughts of desolation burned within him every moment his attention returned to the constant rhythmic ticking of a clock behind him. Was this all that this job was? Is this really how he wanted to spend his last few months in the country? Miserable in a place he didn't even need to work at?
That was what he believed at least, until Sherlock arrived as the new receptionist.
Mysterious, quick-witted, and able to stand John's attempts at socialising, he quickly became a source of relief within the choking confines of office life. Everything seemed wonderful until little things began to build... Secretive texts, Mystifying men in suits, and a collective ignorance amongst John's coworkers to acknowledge Sherlock's existence, nothing seemed quite right in the office when Sherlock Holmes was around.

John is more than a little overwhelmed by the amount of planning and work that's supposed to go into his wedding with Sherlock.
If John had it his way they'd abandon all the flowers and catering menus and run off to the courthouse.Sherlock, on the other hand, has thrown himself into it head first, completely immersing himself in thousands of color samples and drowning in napkin folding tutorials.
Greg intervenes, conversations are had, the boys compromise on the (not so big) day.

Mycroft Holmes is a successful, yet reclusive, mystery writer whose books have topped bestseller lists for years. Mycroft’s agent, Anthea, nearly had to resort to torture to persuade the writer to allow a studio the rights to film one of his books and he only agreed after a section was added to the contract that gave him final say on the choice of actors to play the detective in his novel. The studio wants the highly profitable and extremely sexy Greg Lestrade for the role, but Mycroft isn’t happy with the choice, since Greg’s films don't fit the more cerebral tone of the novel being filmed.
Greg, however, is desperate for the role, as he’s wanted to break out of the pigeonhole he’s been confined to, acting wise, and truly get the chance to show his skills as a serious actor. The studio finally pulls Greg from a publicity tour for his latest film and sends him to Mycroft’s remote country home to do some persuading. Once there, after getting to know the secretive, brilliant and slightly-eccentric Mycroft Holmes, Greg isn’t certain which ranks higher on his persuading list - him getting a role he dearly wants or him getting a man he dearly wants. Mycroft's work regularly makes him visit Paris, not that he minds, because Gregory Lestrade the handsom and talented painter, formerly thief, is waiting for him there. Giving him all the comfort and love he is so deprived of.
Greg had wished for more than just a few days of happiness with his lover, but not the way his wish came true.
