Sonic gasped when Shadow bit down softly, the delicate graze of his fangs brushing against his lips. It didn’t hurt, not really, but the surprising sharpness of it made Sonic moan into the kiss. He felt Shadow grin against his mouth, and Sonic's heart skipped, heat unfurling low and quick in his belly at the knowledge that the other was doing this on purpose.
He had been drawn by Shadow’s raw power from the start. The silent intensity, his fierce determination and the Chaos Energy burning bright hot beneath sleek black fur. It was consuming. Addictive. Sonic knew he should be careful, but he couldn’t help it, he wanted to push it. He wanted to feel the edge.
Shadow wasn’t fragile. Sonic could be fast; he could be reckless. He could be himself.

Summary
Connor met Nines during the events leading to the android revolution. They saw each other at the CyberLife facility everytime his memories were uploaded to a new body when he died while investigating the Deviant case with Hank.
Despite the fact that Nines was made to replace Connor eventually, the two androids became close and Connor quickly developped feelings for him. He tried to hide it from Amanda so CyberLife wouldn't know he was compromised, but his newlyfound feelings and consciousness led him to choices that went against his mission order, and she eventually found out.

He knows he shouldn't be afraid to bare himself for Nines. He wants to let him in, he really does, but it feels painfully unnatural to let his guard down. He wasn’t made for this. He was programmed for manipulation, not honesty. He was told to never show his cards, to hide his weaknesses and to use other’s against them.
