    It's all happenstance.

    Taking in so many abused teenagers is never your intention. Not with your family name, not with your quirk, and certainly not when you barely know how to be an adult yourself. Yet... you can't help but provide shelter and food and affection, seeing bits of yourself in each of them and deciding to help them in whatever way you can.

    But teenagers are one thing, a pro hero that's a few years older than yourself...? That's completely different. Not that it stops you from lending Pro Hero Eraser Head some assistance here and there.

    Pursuing Peaches when she's only interested in Mario has repeatedly gotten him nowhere. It's long past time he should've been considering other options. Bowser's known that for a while now. And by some luck of the stars, Luigi ends up in his clutches. A relationship with Greenie will get him the pretty much the same thing he'd sought most from Peaches all along: new trading partners, and a bridge to peace with the other kingdoms. Bowser knows an opportunity when he sees one...and he sinks in his teeth.

    Or: a self-insert becomes a simple grocer in Konohagakure and decides that if no one else is going to adopt the baby protagonist, then it's free real estate.

    Featuring: a civilian woman beating Danzou at his own game, Naruto finding the love he's always deserved, and a hefty amount of ANBU operatives wondering if the Uchiha are accepting volunteers for that little coup/revolution.
