Hanamaki and Iwaizumi are kneeling between his legs, naked, backlit by the screen of Hanamaki’s laptop; mouths open wide as they attack each other, all snapping teeth and battling tongues in a rabid parody of a kiss. Hanamaki takes Iwaizumi’s tongue in his mouth and hollows his cheeks, and he retaliates by biting over his puckered lips.

He lets them take out the frustrations on him. Encourages it really, because people need an outlet for their anger, and Lance has always been the best at making people angry at him.
(And if his heart twinges a little every time he has to let someone be particularly mean to him, then he just has to remember that this is what he's good at. What he's good for.)
But Lance is an older brother, and an uncle, and a younger brother. He learned sometimes keeping people means sacrificing his own feelings for a bit. He's been taught that he can't always let his feelings take a back seat though. After all, what happens if the rock falls apart?
So, while Lance is always prepared to be the enemy on any given day, there are certain days and certain things that he will not let fly.

After whole semesters of literally never leaving the campus. And why?
A bright cry of, “You’re here!” flies out from behind the bar once he finally, minus a few compound fractures, reaches the front of the tidal wave of people. The words hit him a split-second before Rhys’ neon grin, and Rhys’ floppy hair, and Rhys’ shirt with the sleeve cut off around his cybernetic arm and the collar stretched down enough to show the beginnings of the tattoos on his chest, the whole handkerchief’s worth of fabric generally clinging obscenely to his body.

Once they’re done talking through the plan and everyone wanders off to take care of their own thing, Rhys slips into the control room, picking a drakefruit seed out of his teeth, and starts poking around in the computers.
There’s not much information, about anything, even less about what he’s looking for, but after a few minutes of digging he finds the directory for Helios’ security footage. Just to make sure. Just to check. He’s not trying to hide anything, not really. He’d just like to know how many of his mistakes got preserved for posterity, that’s all.
“Huh,” he mutters, scrolling through the archive.
They’ve all been erased. Hacked into and erased, actually. He leans closer to the screen, frowning, trying to decide why he almost recognises the code, why it feels—
“Hey, bro,” Vaughn says, sounding tired as he drops into a chair next to Rhys. “You all settled in?”
