    “Perhaps I’m hungry for other things that have nothing to do with filling my stomach,” the profiler replied, holding Hannibal’s bloodstained gaze with his own. “But because we do things properly, we are going to eat and enjoy our time at this table.”
    His lips grazed Hannibal’s knuckles; warm and wet, he laved discreetly across his lover’s skin with the tip of his tongue. Hannibal’s pulse climbed into his throat, but he couldn’t bring himself to look away.
