Summary
A virus temporarily turns the Dark Knight into a vulnerable, bedridden man. Clark and Alfred are, of course, by his side for as long as they can. However, since they have never seen Bruce sick in their life, every one of his children believe that "being sick" was actually a code for wishing to be alone. Maybe it's better that way, nobody should ever see him like this.
Or, Bruce Wayne learns the hard way how to allow himself to be vulnerable around the people he loves while running high on a fever and extremely emotional.

Summary
The war between Earth and Krypton left both planets bleeding. In need of an end, Humanity and the Kryptonians agree to a peace, one to be sealed by a contract: a marriage contract to be precise.
On Earth, Batman volunteers to jump on the grenade before anyone else. He has to end this war and protect his children.
On Krypton, Kara-El volunteers as a peace offering. However, Kal-El has some objections to his baby cousin marrying a violent Earth general, so he suggests an alternate plan.

While, yes, it's typical for Superman to be saving animals in trouble from time to time, he always had a hard time bonding with cats. Even back on the farm, all the animals loved him — except cats. They would often just ignore and move past him to get to his Pa, and certain ones with an attitude would even hiss and bare their teeth at him.
So when he takes the kitten and places it on the ground, he kinda just… stares for a while.
