“I can’t leave you like this.” Josh tried, desperately.
But Luke just shook his head, pawing at the floor with his hands – his claws. He howled. He actually, fully, deeply howled.
Then, several things happened at once.
The air was knocked out of Josh’s lungs as he got pushed to the floor, then harshly dragged back to his feet and pressed with his back against the wall. Sharp teeth dragged over the skin of his neck as Luke pushed himself flush with Josh. Heat radiated off of him, the scent of sweat and fur and something else attacked his senses, the coarse hair of Luke’s head tickling his exposed neck. A large bulge lay heavy against his lower abdomen, and a strange mixture of dread and excitement flooded Josh’s systems.

Omar spun on his heel to face Lee, pointing an accusatory, ink-streaked finger at him. “You tryna make me soft or somethin’?”
Lee blinked, mid-step, satchel still slung over one shoulder. “What?”
“That smile,” Omar said, like it was obvious. “The way you look at me. You’re doin’ somethin’ to me, professor, and I don’t like it.”
Lee folded his arms, unimpressed. “Sounds like a you problem.”
Omar huffed through his nose, but there was no real bite behind it. If anything, it sounded like the kind of sound someone made when they were trying not to smile. He shook his head, hand falling back to his side, eyes still fixed on Lee like he couldn’t help himself.
“You really ain’t scared of me, huh?”
Lee gave him a flat look. “Should I be?”
