Thor sighed, agreeing with Val. Thor's overprotectiveness had always annoyed Loki, but he couldn't help it. Thor had just gotten Loki back and he just couldn't lose him.

Summary
Frodo does not board the boat to Valinor. Instead, he stays in the Shire, marries Sam's sister, Marigold Gamgee, and heals with the help of his beloved and his friends. Now, it is many years later. Sam and Frodo’s spouses are gone, and Frodo’s health is failing. But Sam made a promise all those years ago to tell Frodo how he felt before the end.
PREVIEW:
“Mr. Frodo, how are you?” [...]“Just fine, Sam. How are the chickens?”
Though old, and though his cheekbones were prominent and his skin nearly translucent, Frodo was still beautiful the way a painting was beautiful. His wrinkles, which had deepened between his lyrate brows, were dark in a way that made his eyes look brighter.
His eyes, in fact, had never changed. Though his cheeks had drooped, and his forehead formed ridges like the bottom of a riverbank, his eyes were always the same: blue and wide and infinite as the sky.

At Bag End, there is a map of all of Bilbo’s favorite walks. Frodo thinks fondly on the old hobbit as he recalls their days together.

At Bag End, there is a map in the foyer. Unlike the travel maps stashed away in the library, it is not wrinkled. It is carefully preserved in a frame and hung opposite the door. It spans half the wall, and Sting hangs long and leaflike beside it.In red, the map traces all of Bilbo’s favorite walks, and each is a treasure he gave Frodo.
