"You wanted to be here when I woke up," Chris murmurs. The look in his eyes is soft. "I'm made of tougher stuff than a few bullets, Al. You didn't have to worry so much."
Wesker frowns at him as he paces back around the bed to his chair. "You'll need at least a month to recover fully. Likely a bit longer to recover the full range of motion in your arm."
"Don't look so glum," Chris says with a smile. "It's better this way."
He stares at him. "I'm afraid I don't follow."
"I mean it's better I got shot than one of the Hound Wolves," he replies, shrugging his unhurt shoulder. "I'm the one who probably most deserves it."
The Hound Wolves are fine. He's not sure Chris will be.
Chris gets hurt while out on a mission. Wesker decides to take matters into his own hands.
