Under rubble and… seemingly dead.” She spoke with a light-hearted tone as she removed her syringe. “You and I both know that’s not entirely possible. But it seems I can’t leave your side if that’s what happens when I’m gone. Don’t you worry, Reyes. We will fix you and make you stronger.” She couldn’t help but grin wide at her words. Words that were disguised as her own. She spoke as if she was reading off a page. “We are only enhancing your true potential to win this war.” Each word had the intent to drill into his ears. She truly hoped he was listening. In her opinion, she was giving a performance worthy of an Oscar. “But I won’t let you down, Gabriel. We will succeed, unlike that foolish program.”
This story follows Gabriel Reyes in a Universe where vampires, werewolves, and more live among humans and turn out to be a key component in overcoming the Omnic Crisis but at what cost? This Alternate Universe reveals tension among supernaturals and the rest of the world.

Arkha watches Tamsy, and he knows Tamsy watches too. He watches, he observes, and he notices.
He notices Tamsy’s smiles crack just the slightest bits when he has them mechanically plastered on for too long, becoming unnatural. Arkha knows to be cautious of someone like that.or
A little piece on their current relationship in the story, filled with mistrust and (in my dream world) tension that reaches a boiling point! Why not indulge a little?

“Stop teasing,” Mu Qing gasped between breaths, grabbing at Feng Xin’s hair as Feng Xin moved lower and lower. The sun had just begun setting, and the golden light made Feng Xin look so heavenly that Mu Qing nearly forgot he was a god himself.
Mu Qing felt a smirk form against the skin of his abdomen as Feng Xin stopped moving just over Mu Qing’s clothed erection, and Mu Qing seethed, trying to buck up. Two firm hands latched onto Mu Qing’s hips and held him down.
“Beg,” Feng Xin purred into Mu Qing’s skin, rubbing a thumb into the dip of Mu Qing’s hips.
