Summary
Nicole Haught is a young woman in 1861. The War Between the States has broken out and Nicole has a choice to make:
Stay at home and do what is expected of her, or fight for what she believes in.
When she joins the Union Army she pretends to be Nicolas Haught, a farm boy from northern Wisconsin.
When the war ends for her she has to figure out what to do with herself. The last thing she wants to do is go back to being a proper lady. Even in the wilds of Northern Wisconsin, the pressures on young women are high.
That's when Nicole is offered a job too good to resist, navigating the barren Canadian plains n search of fugitive confederates.
After years on the move, she sets up shop in a small plains town called Purgatory. -

Got the idea for this from the song Family Secret by Alannah Myles. This is a LONG one shot. Both Nicole and Waverly are the family secret. I'm a big fan of the idea that Nicole is from the south, but maybe that’s just because I'm a sucker for southern accents.

With Waverly engaged to be wed to someone else, she finds herself back in Purgatory to handle something she should have 8 years ago, getting her stubborn as a mule ex to actually sign the divorce papers she agreed upon.
-This is a alternate universe very *loosely* based on the concept of the movie Sweet Home Alabama.

Summary
High school AU- Wynonna and Nicole have been hockey rivals through their entire youth careers. When Nicole is moved to Purgatory her Senior year they are both expected to put their differences aside to be teammates. The transition won't be easy for either of them. To complicate it further, Waverly finds herself caught in the middle of their feud when she is unexpectedly drawn to Nicole. Worst of all? The Earp sisters are just trying to survive their father and no one seems to want to help them. Nicole quickly starts to realize that being teammates with Wynonna Earp is going to be far more complicated than she thought.
