It is rare for a fan-fic to make me tear up. This one managed it. You will feel awful for Heather Duke after reading this, and the dark portrayal of the relationship between her and Chandler is compelling, heartbreaking, and fitting for the both of them. I agree with the author that there is indeed a deep sadness that follows the character and this story explores that sadness in the perfect way. Incredibly well-written fic.

I spent several days reading this a little bit at a time and never felt like my time was being wasted while doing so. I always looked forward to jumping back into the story when I had the time. It hooked me from the very beginning and I remained deeply invested til' the very end! I was admittedly not sure how to feel about the crossover aspect with Columbo at first (if only because of my own lack of familiarity with that show), but it worked out wonderfully and fit well with Heathers. Just a very enjoyable, fun read.

The fact that a RWS fan-fic of this quality even exists is a surprise, but it's a welcome one to be sure. Handles the demo's characters in a fun and interesting way despite there being very little canon material to go off of. Even after all these years, this little demo still has my heart, so hopefully we'll see the full game release someday. If that happens, I hope the fan-fics that follow are as good as this one is.

I've been fascinated by the relationship between Cinderella and her stepmother for a long while, and fics that go the romantic route are always a treat. This one in particular is simply gorgeous and while it isn't finished as I type this (4/8/26), I am content with what I've read. Overall a lovely fic.
