The celebration hadn't been specifically for her, and though the Mafia leaders had stopped by and presented gifts, she couldn't banish the weight in her heart when Orlok never showed. Lili wasn't sure when she'd come to relish their time together, but she couldn't imagine life without his presence anymore.
