Jude saw MacCready as a kind of permanently pissed-off cat. Small, liable to climb to high places, full of rage. You know, that sort of thing. Definitely not the type of cat to come cuddling and purring. He was dangerous, Jude knew this. Quick wits, even quicker shot. Quick temper, to match. But sometimes, Jude would push too far, on purpose, tease a little too much, just to sit and watch as MacCready's ears turned red and he scrambled to retaliate, wondering - how much? How much more would the sniper tolerate? How much until he packed up and headed back to that lousy bar in Goodneighbor?

Deacon is missing and the last people who saw him are nowhere to be found. Dorothy hated the irony behind her name. Almost as much as she hated putting her education on a standstill to help her father and stepmother take care of a new baby boy they had just given birth to so that Nora could get back in the office and Nate could continue his job hunt. But when the bombs drop and the world is turned to ash, Dorothy and her family are forced to retreat into the local vault, unbeknownst to the horrific cryogenic experiment they would be part of that would secure them in the vault for over two hundred years.
When Dorothy is finally awakened, she is unleashed on a hunt for blood and her baby brother, Shaun.
