Sebastin nods, hums. “And do you know what you did wrong?”
Charles takes a stuttering gasp before he speaks. “The championship,” he sobs, “I cost us the championship.”

Summary
They didn’t break up badly, Charles and him, didn’t end up enemies. They just knew it wouldn’t last.
But every once in a while, when Seb can’t fall asleep, he wishes he had been a better person and treated Charles more like an adult. A decade’s extra worth of experience made that tough back then. Seb likes to think that he would do better by Charles now.
“He’s- asking for you,” Max finally says, and the reluctance in his voice is so obvious. “He’s asking for you, and he won’t let me- I can’t help him. Not the way he needs.”
charles goes into heat. seb and max have some figuring out to do.
