I, Emma Sana Takahashi, was presumably dead.
Or so it seemed. Was death this … well, boring?
The entire space around me seemed to be empty and uninhabited. Looking down, I realized I was standing on … well, I wasn’t sure what it was, but I wasn’t falling, so clearly I was standing on something.

Updates may be irregular in timing, but my exams are done (for now, and I'm on holiday!) but I will try to keep to a schedule.
This is the first time I'm actually experimenting with my writing while trying to suppress my perfectionistic urges. If you have any feedback I would love to hear it!

Summary
Students come and go each year at Hogwarts, after all, and this year was clearly no different, despite a few new students joining.
(And a few of them are definitely going to be impossible to ignore.)
A new law has been passed that’s got the whole of wizarding Britain in a tizzy. Totally normal, for a year at Hogwarts.
(Oh, and Sirius Black’s finally up for an official trial. But really, what’s new?)
Nothing’s really changed, though rumors have been heard of some minor rearranging of things. But Hogwarts hasn’t changed at all.
(You know how things go around here. Same old, same old.)
Anyway, have I mentioned that things are about to change?
Basically: A non-canon-compliant “if someone had common sense in this universe” AU.
(Title may change, it is undecided. A lot of things are.)
(Currently on a bit of a short hiatus as my focus has been captured by another story.)
(Note, this is my first story. I felt the urge to delete it a while ago, but now I reread it and feel less averse to it. Not sure if I'll update soon, but I will eventually.

Summary
Harry Potter has known that Lord Voldemort's been back for months now, but the entire Wizarding World knows now. People turn to him with hopes he's a “Chosen One,” and others turn away in fear of the magic that he's found himself possessing. He has his friends and his family by his side. He keeps them close to his heart, as they are all who he can trust, but there are others that attempt to get close to the heart he has. Others that want to make it stop beating.

Summary
Draco Malfoy never wanted to remember.
In their first life, an arranged marriage contract bound him to Harry Potter before either of them had a choice.
