Summary
Cliffjumper had been told it was an normal assignment: accompany Ambassador Dezaras back to his home city of Coravidis to deliver the vaccines that make up part of their treaty with the beastformer clade, with a chance to vacation somewhere exotic and return home with a commendation for it to boot.
What he doesn't expect is for Dezaras to have used the delivery as a front; the Ambassador is in line for leadership of his clade, if only he brings home a mate of suitable social standing. Unfortunately the mech he was courting - the Tarnese Chair for Music and the Arts - wouldn't be returning home with him. Luckily enough, he knows the mech who cleans the facade of the Senate building looks exactly like a very important mech. One that even his solitary clade would recognize and exalt with little question. A plan was hatched, and Dezaras doesn’t much care what the little red mini would like to do.
Poor Cliffjumper is never given a choice in the matter.
Luckily for them both, sometimes playing a part can turn into something very real.

“What if I said no?” Damus asked, but his pedes already carried him to where Overlord stood.
Overlord laughed. “Oh, I have plenty of reason to believe that you wouldn't.”

The two of them stayed like that, curled together on the floor of Drift’s hab-suite, the smell of incense and the sound of crystal chimes clinking in the air. An arm’s length separated them, yet Starscream’s servo kept them connected.
“It’s like we’re not even the same mecha,” Starscream murmured, as in awe of the passage of time as he was in disdain of it.
“We aren’t,” Drift agreed. “Everything about us that could be altered, was.”
[An AU in which instead of being sent to prison, Starscream follows in Megatron's footsteps and seeks exile aboard the Lost Light. To everyone's surprise, it's not Megatron he's there for.]

Summary
He’s been mistaken for an omega again, which is nothing new for Cliffjumper. What mini is an alpha? It’s so rare there probably aren’t even statistics for it. Either way, he's been placed in a job he didn't apply for with no other options. He wasn't expecting to find an omega he actually gets along with, especially since Deathsaurus is the definition of an annoying, smug aft. And yet, he still finds himself drawn to the larger mech.

Technically, the iapetus is correct: the planet is uninhabited. But the silo that rises over the plain, a sterile glint of white metal, suggests this was not always the case. On a planet of one there is no need for names or addresses, but remnants of each remain etched into its walls, and under the rotting floor panels evidence of a legacy can still be found, half buried in the loam.
